once upon a time there was an all time low,
something to aspire for,
to look forward to…
i stay home and drink
coffee and beer
before eating any breakfast.
sticking chubby fingers in my throat
i massage my wisdom teeth
i tug at my tongue
but something altogether different comes out
-never say never god damn it
the world looks beautiful from the floor of my bathroom
the tiles weave wonderful patterns in front of my blurry vision
there is an expanse of yellow squares and
at the end of the hallway my cat is watching me.
